Artistic Apprentices

Starting 2015-16, we have changed our Artistic Apprentice Program from serving as a gateway to ensemble membership for adult actors to focusing on the artistic advancement of youth. A year-long commitment to physical and vocal training, exploration of method of physical action, and devising new work as an ensemble, the apprenticeship will culminate in a performance opportunity in Spring 2016 and an opportunity to participate as workleaders in our Summer 2016 workshops for youth.

She appeared in the Seattle and touring productions of APL’s The Glas Nocturne (2015) and originated the role of Echo in Ecce Faustus (2016). In 2011, she made her vocal solo debut singing “Panis Angelicus” for nearly 2,500 people at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall – backed by the Cascade Youth Symphony Orchestra and Shoreline Schools Honor Choir. The Musical (2017, Truman Squad Dance Captain), Thoroughly Modern Millie (2016, featured tapper, Lucille), and Mary Poppins (2015). An Honor Roll student and avid Girl Scout, Catherine earned her Silver Award, serves on Western Washington’s Highest Awards Committee, is a multi-year participant on the Global Action Team, and will represent Girl Scouts of Western Washington as a delegate to the Fall 2017 national convention. She sings with the elite Chansons vocal ensemble at Shorecrest High School and is an advanced Irish Step Dancer at Grafton Street Academy.
